Mel trained with Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio in 2015 in Hatha Vinyasa. She is the owner of Kuuma Yoga. The studio opened on May 13th, 2017 in Downtown Moncton. In June 2018, the studio moved to Main St and has been in it’s “Magical Treehouse” location ever since.
Seeking refuge from the suffering of anxiety and depression, Mel found herself in a hot yoga class. For the first time ever, the internal chatter stopped. Movement & breath began to dance with one another in a beautiful expression of catch and release. Mel learned to trust the process and is still learning to live in the flow. Her classes offer a safe environment for you to find unity with your body. She is passionate about teaching consent, body autonomy, and holding the power of self agency. Her mission in life is to empower her students to create healthy boundaries and strengthen the relationship of self.
